getting to 550-600 rw all motor with any mod is going to cost a fortune.
you will need BB(risky at that power level)just ask Al he can tell you himself.
the stock 5.4 steel crank prepped
the best rods, pistons and all out technology out there
GT heads ported by Al or his equal.
scott at VT makes > 600 with proprietary stroke and BB. there is a risk of blowup with BB.
and you need to turn it 7500-8200 like Al and scott do.
you need a nascar style prepping on the carbed intake. fuel injection will cost you the motor.
custom headers for peak power, seriously radical cams. i have heard Al's run with my own ears, and it's radical.
how much? 20g's maybe more. just for the motor.
or KB with forgings and get it easy. Tim at MPH has Guaranteed a close friend 450 to the wheels safely with his stock low end and a mongoose kit. you choose.
i'm for all motor, unless you want more than 330 can produce. then KB it. or the equal.

i'm going forg...of course that's the careful way to go...and from there i'm not to sure that's y i was wondering if it's better to go 5.4 or just stay 4.6 but it looks like i'm going to stay 4.6 but after that i'm wondering what power adder to throw in that combo with it.....but it looks like people are saying that kb isn't the best choice maybe i should go D-1SC....opinions.....
again my apologies to all but one in here.
a 5.4 4v navi with the right stuff is a breeze to 600rwhp boosted.
a 5l stroker is just a little harder 4v boosted.
2v? not really a breeze. kb low drag, novi2000, procharger, and 4v is what i call a breeze.
i guess it depends on what is considered a breeze.
now i will give one thing to crackpot. he may be an innovator. i say may. if that's the case and he has a breakthrough then maybe he is right.
i still need to know exactly what combo is a breeze to 600rwhp pump.
i takes all johnny lightning can do to get a 5.4 2v to 600 rwhp pump.
a little less for 4.6 2v .
but a breeze? that's wrong to say.
you absolutely can get 600 rwhp.
1. define what you consider drivable
2. what is the intended use? daily, occasional, track
3.budget?
i recommend calling JDM engineering. they are doing an all out 5.4 3v for a friend. and they expect 630 rwhp+ and 900+ at the track with race gas, tune change, and pulley.
the motor will be daily driven. he spent 12 grand the last i talked.
if you are serious, they can be trusted to get it right. i takes time, but expect great results. another good source is Tim at MPH. lastly AL papito at BOSS330.com. they really have the fastest cars a NMRA. they know what it takes. asking in here can loose your wallet of money you cannot replace. stick to the big names.
15k... 600.... streatable.... forged bottom end with upgraded oil system, ported heads with stage 2/3 cams, and i personally think you should ditch both posi and centri blowers and just hit the turbo scene.... this will allow both room to grown and the ability to change out power bands for DD/track. you will be needing a multibank chip with multiple tunes of course... but not that bad... anyhow...
with the turbo choices there are really only 2 in my opinion... the large bore single kit by hellion, and the twin kit from MPH (i think its the HP kit). think its gijoe that has the thats throwing down 750 on race gas and some odd 580-620 (havn't followed in a while) on pump... however i heard he was thinking of going back to the 2.8kb Tim had fabbed up by ken.... anyhow...
the other shot is the Procharger D trim, or paxton 2000.... but honestly every time i hear people running with them they have huge belt isues at that level.... after about 500 its just easier to go turbo. both hellion and the HP kits are great... i personaly would go hellion and grab the 76BB one they offer. if i had 15k i'd go NA with a nice 5.4BB 4v... but thats personal preference... not looking for huge power just 450+ and different take it for what its worth, after all i'm just a suspension guy.
