Weird HVAC Problem...

With the temps going down and down and my new long commute this is finally becoming an issue. Anyway, the problem is the fan motor will not work unless the fan is set on MAX. Otherwise it will not work at all. On another settings some residual heat will come out of the vents, but the fan doens't work at all. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this? I did a search but not one else has had this problem. Thanks!

Mine does this too, and I believe it's a fairly common problem. I forget what they told me the issue was, but it's supposed to be an easy fix.

most likely the Resistor pack on the HVAC motor.
Easy fix.

Could be the multi position switch in the dash also.
