I had just picked up a set of weld racing pro star rims (15x8, back spacing: 4 1/2") and was wondering how big of tire i can fit under my 87 GT. I wanna go with BFGoodrich G-Force T/A Drag Radials. I have already eliminated the quad shocks and im getting ready to roll the lip. I have the 2 way adjustable granatelli lower control arms. How big can i go?

Your limit is somewhat set by your wheel width. If you want to keep all the tread on the ground, ideally the tire section width (225, 255, etc.) shouldn't be more than 2" wider than the wheel width. So -- 8" + 2" = 10" section width on the tire. Since the section widths are in millimeters - you convert --- 10 inches X 25.4 mm/inch = 254 section width. So, a 255 section tire is optimal for an 8" wide wheel.
