Need to know if these rims & tires will fit my 1966 Mustang Coupe. I replaced Front Springs ( Stock) and Rear Leaf Springs ( stock), so the car is not lowered in any way. They are American Racing Torque Thrust II's 16 x 7 or 8 not sure. The front tires are 225/55/16 & the back tires are 245/50/16. I am not worried about the back, but I am about the front. What do you think. Thanks

They have a 4" backspace. I still don't know the width. He wants $575-600 for the the set. I want to make sure they fit first. The front tires are half worn and the backs are new. Do you think it's worth it?

Hi, everyone. I am in need of help.
this is my situation:
1967 mustang coupe
wheels: 16x8 american racing
tires front: 255/50/16
tires rear: 255/50/16
rear springs: 4 leaf heavy duty
front coils: grab a track 620
I am rubbing in the back.
what is the correct tire size I should use.
thanks

You should be able to fit that tire without a problem. If it's rubbing, it's because your backspacing isn't correct. Changing to a narrower tire won't fix your backspacing, but might fix the rubbing.

You could also look into rolling the fender lips.

they will fit, I have a 1967 stang runnning 225/50/16 in the front and no rubbing. but then again mustangs before 1967 were a bit smaller in every way.
hope that helps.
