I'd like to add a chin spoiler to my '07 and was looking at the CDC agressive one. I noticed in their instructions there is some cutting that is not listed in the "classic" model's instructions. For those who have done this.. how difficult is it? Anybody got any pics? Any others you like? I'd rather not go to the body shop but the cutting part has me asking ?????'s Thanks for any help....

I have the CDC aggressive and it's been on my car almost 4 years with no problems. It is a little more trouble than the Classic but it's not a big deal to cut the plastic pieces that are required.

Go with the classic IMO. It looks like it "should" be there. Easy to install with no cutting.

100% go with the Classic...aggressive...not good.

also, please paint it if you decide to get one. Only ricers put on unpainted parts. :nono:

I've never seen anyone put on unpainted body parts, at lest not around where I live. I agree with you that must look pretty bad, but ricers might do almost anything to impress each other.

    Ricer? Excellent attitude there. :notnice:

CDC makes a textured black and a plain black spoiler that fits right in with many color schemes. To each his own, if it gives you the look you’re after, painted or not.. Go for it..:nice:

Only a chump builds a car to impress others. :nono:

Let’s face it, a chin spoiler on a street going mustang is looks only.. And last I checked, building for looks only has its own derogatory naysayers within this little group of Mustangs admirers.

So if divided and mudslinging is what someone wants to use to impress others… I think that attitude is laughable at best. :rlaugh:

My CDC spoiler came unpainted or primed it was a sickning beige plastic color, they didn't start selling the prepainted spoilers until a year or more after mine was installed. I originally painted mine to match the car color, but it was too hard to keep the rock chips out of the paint job, so I repainted it with a paint that is more easily touched up if need be.

I am not sure what you are talking about with the "mudslinging" comment, I was just agreeing with Wind-Farmer about ricer kids impressing each other with ridicules modifications to their cars.

To my way of thinking the term "Ricer" does not apply to a nationality or ethnicity, just a mind set regarding modifying a car. It does not even have to be a *** car, any kind of car can be "riced" in the hands of a ricer minded owner. To each his/her own and that's all cool but you can't expect others not to laugh especially if it has one of those absurd "Fart Can" mufflers.

The funny thing is that I was just now sitting here watching "peoples Court" while I was on the computer and they had a case concerning a used car and sure enough it had an unpainted front end kit, hood and some side trim. It was a dark colored car with the add-ons all in unpainted white. Now I see what "Wind-Farmer" was talking about. The car was a Dodge Avenger BTW.

Yes it is pretty "BOLD' and is certianly not for everybody's taste but I like it on my car, but either way I think CDC has the best looking two spoilers out there (for 05 to 09 GTs) without a complete body kit of front end change.

I went with classic and painted half black/half body colour. The black in the middle is also a little easier to touch up, until Ford makes redfire available in Spraycans. The aggressive looks awesome though.

    Looks good :nice:

I can't get Torch Red in spray from Ford or Duplicolor either, I wonder why they are behind in releasing these colors.

7upstang your car is beautiful, it looks exactly like mine except the color..good choices:D

OK as for my ricer comment, ricers are people who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car; for how we get the term RICE, usually to make it mostly to look faster - or as in the case stated above, "to impress other people."

I see them putting on unpainted body kits, spoilers, etc. etc. as for the fact that most of them are foriegn, and yes lets just stereotype...have no job, and put the part on because they can't pay for the paint. blah blah blah.

that is my defanition, my example. Perfectly legit examples, and yes, was a rather stereotypical statement, soooo SORRY

I would like to know too. These colours have been out for 5 years now. It bugs me, cuz there is only so much you can do with the dealer touch up paint, and I don't own an air compressor and a spray gun, so I can't buy the colours from an autobody shop.

Anybody know what the hold up is?

Torch red has actually been around much longer. It used to be called, as someone said earlier, colorado red. I would also like to know why it is not available in a spray can. Probably to make us go to a body shop.

Yeah but paint code D3 as Torch Red or Colorodo red is still not available. I just looked at the Duplicolor chart a few days ago and D3 just itsn't available as either name.

Oh well... sooner or later I guess.

The Aggressive looks ok, but even better when there is an intercooler lurking behind it. Depending on the color of your car, the unpainted black could look good. I chose the unpainted as it fit well with the Vista Blue.

Funny how I've hardly ever seen where people complain about the GT500 unpainted spoiler being "rice"

Come on KoolDawg, the GT500 front "splitter" is ... LOL I can't even explain that one. GT500's can do what they want. They dont paint the side skirts neither...so, who knows. I give up..there is no such thing as rice :flag:
