widest tire on stock wheels?

I just supercharged my car and I currently have 19'' wheels with the BF Goodrich G-force kdw tires. 255 in the front and 285 in the rear. But this wheel and tire set up does not have enough grip for this amount of power, even on the street, and I plan on taking it to the track. I cant find any drag radials in a size 19'' wheel, but I still have my stock wheels and tires. So i was planning on puting the stock wheels back on the car and getting drag radials for them. What is the widest tire I can fit on the stock 17'' wheels? I have also considered having a different set of wheels ant tires for the street and the strip. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do?

A 275 drag radial will fit a 17x8 wheel but may not give much more
traction than your BFG's so a M/T ET street may be best for the track.
Be careful with the clutch!
