Will non modified gt-40 P heads fit my 84 302? carb.

yes, though you will probably need the "p" specific headers

what do you mean the name? Stock heads have stamped steel pedestal mount rockers

OH MY and HP to boot!! the rockers and push rods are all interchangeable!! the Ps will add compression ( which is low end) and flow ( which is mid to top end) SOOoooo... It is a killer choice on the 84!! Header problems are not really that bad... a smaller plug or a ding in the header tube is good enough and a different angle plug boot ( and your changing wires anyway... right??) and your rocking!! Have fun!! Oh.. while the heads are off... gasket match the intake to the intake gasket and also the heads... just a little more power!!
