I've decided to make the wire kit myself with some 4 gauge cable I've got laying around. I went to JR's site for the fuse and fuse block but I would have to wait b/c the fuse block is not in stock. So I just bought a fuse and fuse block from ebay. Here they are (fuse block doesn't end until tomorrow):

Is there a special kind of 4 gauge cable I need to use? I'm planning on using leftover cable from an old stereo system.

Old stereo cable should work fine. Stereo stuff is fine strand and auto cables are coarser - both work just great. I used cable for an amp as well.

Good. And the fuse and block I chose should also be ok, right?

Those should work like a champ. :nice:

If you should come across a 125 amp fuse at some point, you can use it too. And a spare fuse is a good thing to have (I have one in each glovebox).

Good luck.

I'm a little late to the thread but I am using a 150A ANL style fuse/holder from the stereo shop also.

You'll need two extra 4 gauge lugs to tie the cable onto the fuse block, but that is only 2 extra crimps that you have to make.
