Windshield washer pump/fender sensor??

Hello. I have two questions I'm hoping somebody could help with. I have a 1991 GT 5.0 convertible. What is the sensor in the driver's side fender well just under the windshield washer tank? Second, where does the wire/connection for the washer pump come from? I can't seem to find my washer pump harness and don't see it in any wiring diagrams I have. Thanks.
