Wiring Problem

One day my car began to acclerate very roughly below 2000rpms and then lose power up top past 3500rpms. I went to pull the codes and noticed a wire that looked as if it was pinched from its proper place. The wire is located near the firewall of the drivers side right by the brake master cylinder. Take a look at the pics below, its the black/orange wire I am concerned about. Another concern is that the wire is hot so I think its important I find its home. Also there is a pic of two black/white wires that come together and are disconnected. They're located below the starter solonoid. Any ideas where either of these belong?

You didn't give the year of your car, so this is a very wild goose guess.
There are two circuits that use a black wire with an orange stripe: one for
computer power and the other is the power wire from the alternator to the
battery side of the starter solenoid.

If that lone connector that's hot has a black square connector on it, I have the same one (88 GT vert) and it doesnt go to anything either. I'd tape the end off so you dont accidentally connect it when running codes (it reaches the self test connector).

Good luck.
