Cracked head every valve rotted oil leaks every time. Just saying

I had a squeaking problem too, but mine was my exhaust, and that could be something for you to look into, but its probably not that likely. As for you dashboard, someone might have tried to remove something in the dash and broke a clip. I have broken several when I took my dash apart to paint the trim pieces. Behind the two vents is nothing so the rattling must be from something below or its a bad fan.
