Need help, problem with pedal bushings.

The mustang steve ball bearing convesion may be more expensive than piecing it together yourself, but it works, and is relatively easy to do. Superior to the plastic bushings ford used. i really didn't think it was all that expensive.

    Differential lube.

It's easier and takes the guesswork out, if you just use the oil with the friction modifier in it. I have never had a case where I couldn't find it.

    insurance

Look for a Farmers Insurance broker. They can use a smaller company called JC Taylor. I have full coveage and 7000 of comprehensive for 56 a year. Every time i get a quote from Hagggerty, the price is double, but still a far cry better than Flo from Progressive.

Short cam life with new oils

One other thing, are you breaking the cam in properly when it is installed? You need at least 15 minutes at 2000-3000 rpm to sling oil up to the cam while it is breaking in. Failure to do so will result in way early failure.

Short cam life with new oils

Y You cant use conventional gasoline engine oil in earlier flat tappet cam engines. You either need an additive, or use oil specd for diesel engines, such as Rotella T 30, or Delo 400. Those two still have the additives to let a cam survive. Full synthetic isnt a fix either.

    302 Flywheel ringgear question

The ring gear should be as far back against the shoulder as you can. Freeze the flywheel, and warm up the gear with a popane torch if you need to, and apply the red loctite to the flywheel shoulder. Tap the gear into place, all the way back. On a worn ring, you'll see that only the outer edge...

    Fuel Tank Sending Unit

That is a relatively easy part to get, and repair. cjponyparts is where i got mine, about $26.00, and has a bigger and finer pickup screen, to keep out chunks of rust. You can play with the float bending it up or down, till you get your guage to read as you like when close to empty.

    Hagerty Insurance?

classic inurance Farmers can hook you up with a smaller agency called JC Taylor. I insure my 66 with 7500 of comprehensive for 56.00 per YEAR. I have had similar policies with haggerty, and it usually costs twice as much for the same coverage.

I have the 2 core, 1" rows, "guaranteed to cool 300 hp" and doesn't keep me cool if the outside temps are over 95. Most of the time in AZ. I have the 3" shroud and 7 blade 18" fan. gets progessivly hotter at idle, and cools very slowly going down the road. I am looking at the 4 row, 20...

I cut a slot in some 1" flat washers and put them between the firewall and the firewall adjuster, then re adjusted the cable at the tranny. Had to play with diffrent thickness to get it right, but it solved my problem.

1 Quart too much in Aod trans

Parts stores sell suction guns that look similar to grease guns. I would pull the dipstick, and attempt to suck some fluid out, till you have the proper amount on the dipstick. Then start solving problems.

T5 trans shifter WONT move into 2nd gear ( V6 but related)

Your syncro gears were shot some time ago. Driving it any further will only do more damage and cost more to repair. If you take it out yourself, I would think it would cost 600-800 depending on what else is wrong with it. Usually a few guys on craigslist that can do the repairs.

    Alternator ISSUES!

I ran into the same problem when I installed my electric fan. I bought an externally regulated 100 amp alt off ebay for about 100. even came with a new regulator.

Rocker Stud Snapped!! What Roller Rockers In Photo

Just my two cents, but my engine did the same thing when I had valve to piston contact. I drove it short trips for a month, with no problems, then went on a road trip and broke three rocker studs, bent a pushrod, and dropped a valve.

    AFR165 with FRPP E cam

Check your clearances with clay before you bolt them on. I had issues with a b cam and the 165 heads, with post 87 flat tops.

    Headers vs. manifolds

I have had both the log style and the hipo manifolds, and could not tell any difference at all, from the drivers seat. My car ran suprisingly well with the log style, never burned any plug wires, and never had any leaks.

Just rebuilt my 2100 carb. but have a power valve question.

The power valves supplied in the echlin carb kits will be generally ok with most of 2100 2 barrels. The openings to the diaphram arent neccesarily how much resistance it will have, but will be regulated by the spring on the other side. It should be fine.
