Really Negative camber Shelby Drop on 70 mustang

I think I got my ride height the way I want but after the shelby drop Im experiencing very negative camber. I have a 302 and did the shelby drop with a template, replaced the springs with 1" lower springs and new kyb shocks. I am currently reading around -1 degrees of negative camber on the...

Interior and Upholstery Horn Contact help I'm desperate

I saw the 66 contact online, the top "brush part" looks sorta flimsy since its just a wire connected to a spring. The problem is I made something similar to it but it just folded over somehow and created a short when I turned my wheel. Thanks for the offer though! Thats really kind of you.

    Horn Contacts help I'm desperate

I have a 1970 ford coupe with a stock column. I found out my horn wasn't working so I took a look at the turn signal switch and found out that the copper horn contact was completely eroded away. I'm including pictures below of the copper contact I'm referring to. I took out the old copper horn...

    Can I fit a 1979-1986 C4 Nuetral Safety Switch to my 1970 mustang C4?

The parts look very similar except for the plug but I was thinking of just cutting and soldering the new wires on the old plug. My transmission is currently stock. Thanks you

Starter gear doesn’t engage fully with flexplate

1970 mustang 302 c4 stock. So my car recently left me stranded when it wouldn’t turn over. So the starter basically just “screams” and the engine doesn’t turn. We looked at the bendix meshing the flexplate and the bendix comes out, hits the face of the flex plate (it makes a very short “tap”...

C4 Transmission has very delayed shifts

Hi guys, I have a 1970 mustang with a 302 and a c4 select shift transmission. Recently the transmission has been delaying its shifts more frequently as time passes. I adjusted the vacuum modulator screw to reduce the delay and it has not worked (3 full turns counterclockwise). As of right now...

    E7TE heads on a 1970 302 block

Hey guys! I have a guy offering some $50 E7TE heads from a 95 302 and I was curious if they will fit on my 1970 302 block. I’m running an Edelbrock performer intake and Edelbrock 650cfm carb with hooker headers and everything else is completely stock. I’m planning on porting the E7TE heads out...

    Camber Keeps Readjusting Itself...

Thanks so much guys! I don’t think I could’ve found the problem that quick without you. I’ll try to change it out soon because it’s getting progressively worse...but my engineering classes may conflict with that. I’ll keep you posted! Thanks again!

    Camber Keeps Readjusting Itself...

Hey guys I think I’ve got it! I checked the lower and upper ball joints and it showed no sign of wear. So we checked the bushings and sure enough they’re dry rotted out. What we think causes the camber to change so suddenly is that the lower control arm has a lot of play where it meets with the...

    Camber Keeps Readjusting Itself...

Alright thanks guys! I don’t think it’s the camber adjuster anymore and now it’s starting to look like worn lower ball joints. I’ve started hearing a squeaking noise (like a mattress with worn out springs) when I drive. And what’s a good way to check bushings on suspension?

If the bolt is turning, would it be possible to just put a lock washer on it?

    Camber Keeps Readjusting Itself...

Hey fellow stangers! I've been noticing that on my 1970 mustang coupe (stock 302), the camber will every now and then become really positive. And noticing this I usually turn the steering wheel around (if parked) or gently hit a bump (if moving) to kinda reset it back to it original...

1970 Mustang Coupe Headers Question And Help

Hello all, I have a 1970 ford mustang base with a stock 302. I'm thinking about getting some hooker headers (part # 6901HKR) or some shorty hedman headers (part #88400). I'm not sure if I should get the shorty headers or the long tube headers. Both say they are for the 1970 mustang 302 and are...

1970 Mustang 302 Base Carb Question

Hello all, I am thinking about purchasing a edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor (part number 1406). I'll be bolting it to the stock intake manifold that came with the original ford 302. The original carburetor was a motorcraft 2150, not sure if that helps. Anyways the question is if I need any gaskets...

    1970 Mustang 302-2v Carb?

Hello all, Im wanting to rebuild my 2 barrel carburetor on my 1970 mustang coupe with a 302-2V. I'm having trouble identifying the carb. On the carb it says it's a motor craft and it looks like the original. But I'm not sure if it's an Autolite 2100 or a Motorcrafr 2150 carb. Do the rebuild...

1970 Mustang Coupe-- Hesitation When Accelerating Question

Thanks a lot guys! I haven't done anything at the moment but when the weekend rolls around I'll check out that accelerator pump. The carb definitely needs work since it's the original 2 barrel.

1970 Mustang Coupe-- Hesitation When Accelerating Question

Hello all, I am new to forums in general and I thought the perfect time to join one is when I purchased a classic mustang. Anyways the problem I'm having is whenever I hit the gas hard, the car hesitates for about 2-3 seconds then finally revs up and goes. Its pretty bothersome and annoying...
