lostsoul said:Nola I dont know who you are, but thanks for the info. If whipple gave you a 160 for the new SC then I think its safe to say its for a reason. The question is what setting in the sct need to be changed to go along with this? Find out and get back to us

Granted these are from 4.6 2-valve Tech, but the principle is not at all foreign.

lostsoul said:Thanks got the links V. but they just lead to the same known answer. If this was for a stock setup I wouldn't do it or worry about it. Since NOLAGT(post hoeing in the wrong forum ) has a whipple and I have a procharger we will be building up much more heat. I believe the new stangs have much more heat soak then other years and anything to help it even if 10 deg less would be a help.
Nolagt.. this is what the team needs you to do :
1) install intake and coolent temp guage
2) leave out the 160 threm and stick with 180
3) on average day record outside temp and hum and romp around for 30 min at different rpms and speed and record all temp info
4) install the 160 and get the tune changed
5) run same corse on day with same temp and record
6) report to HQ with findings
