I just bought a 1989 Foxbody that has the 355 Probe stroker motor, i cant find much of any information on the stroker kit itself. Its still just a stock 302 block right? the build list i received says a "probe 8.2" deck" those that mean an aftermarket shortblock?
Its a nitrous car making 560whp/780tq on a 150 shot. Previous owner ran it on the track and street with that shot no issue and said they wouldve done a 200shot if fuel wasnt an issue.
Could the block handle that?

Build list:

Edlebrock e street heads 170 cc valve springs
X303 cam
Trickflow intake
Probe 8.2" deck 355 c.i.d stroker kit
3.48"cleaveland
5.5" crower 4340 steel sportsman rods (busged) 3/8" bolts
4.030" probe pistons (362g)
in-line valve relief & pins
childs and albert rings 1/16" 3mm ring package
main rods and bearings (probe)
apr 2 main bolt studs
0.0949

Probe does not make blocks...they do sell stroker kits. Doubt it's making that HP with 150 shot with those heads unless it was a 300 shot  . So someone is 150hp high and Torque  maybe if it was a Dodge Cummins. No way that thing is making torque numbers in the 700 range.

I am not disputing the info but keep in mind a seller can tell you whatever they want. Does the dyno sheet show the vin number on it? Have you talked to the shop that did it?
it sounds like a very stout engine. Look for the casting numbers around the starter area.

If the stroke is 3.48, and the bore is 4.030, then it indeed measures out to 355.
Evidently Probe figured a way to push a 347 stroker kit 8 more cubic inches to get their own specific engine kit.

One things probably for sure..
That engine never made 800 ft lbs of torque and lived to do that over and over.
especially NOT using a 170cc head.
And an X303 cam.

Thank you for that Mike makes
Sense

I see a mph value and not an RPM value. That means they did not use a standard ase rating. Likely the numbers are not from a dyno jet... this means the values are meaningless except for tuning that exact engine. Could make 270hp and still read 500 with the correct gearing.
Those dynos are based on drum acceleration
