I kinda want to do a 406W (4.02" bore/4" stroke) swap into my convertible. But I have no idea what intake would meet the needs of the engine.

I'm thinking AFR 185 heads, custom cam, about 9.5-10:1 compression. Pump gas friendly. Not thinking max hp and will never rev past 6000 rpm. Looking for "best power under the curve"...ie plenty of torque.

Intake has gotta have all the emissions hook up stuff. EGR and such crap.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well Id think youd definitally need bigger heads, maybe the 225's or so. Thats just me though.

I don't think I'd need heads that big. The AFR 185's supported 535 crank-hp on a 393 crate engine in the very last issue of Super Ford before it was merged with 5.0 Mustangs back a couple years ago.

Not saying youre wrong but ive heard many times that AFR 185s were not enough on 351's. I would go with the 225s because anything over 400 is big cubes.

The 185s are good for the 306 to the 347 NA, IMO.
