No worries Historic, just giving you something to think about. :nice:

The only test I could think of that didn't involve a wind-tunnel would be attaching a smoke bomb under the hood and going for a test lap. This could be dangerous though. And I don't know where you'd get a smoke bomb.

I was re-reading The HHGTTG yesterday and it and your brick comment inspire me to offer the following observation:

"The early Mustang slices through the air just like how a brick doesn't."
 
I wonder if yarn taped in the area where the hood meets the cowl would tell a story. Might have to have a chase car to see it. I've also seen drops of oil used to determine airflow and direction. The key is to not let any air into the engine compartment unless it goes through the radiator.
