Was a half dead injector. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.. avoid bosch bull:poo:, lol.

So after all that, it was a part going in and out *somehow* and deciding when to work or not.. it finally died all the way and when 7 plugs started fouling and 1 wasn't at all, we knew. Some bs.

Never thought i'd see the day lol. POS. Least it works now.

Glad you found it. Those eBay green giants are a complete fraud, Chinese knock-offs. I wasted a few hundred bucks on them at one point too - then switched to Accel which have been great. The actual Bosch parts are a completely different animal. On the brighter side they crapped out on you now - mine did it in the middle of a road-trip, and I was NEVER able to get the cylinder balance test to pass with those in there. They also lived long enough so my PayPal guarantee had expired.

One or more were actually probably completely stuck open dumping all the fuel into a single cylinder. Car doesn't run well that way, and dumps a lot of fuel out the tailpipe. Make sure to change your oil as it's probably full of fuel.

I had a similar experience with treperformance, aka “Bosch style” injectors. Just had a set take a dump on me. I’d never run them on a forced induction setup but they did feed my 347 for awhile.

Switched to 44lb trickflow and its much easier to tune now. They actually stay shut when they’re supposed to.

So now you can't even order those injectors to California, unless you pay a small fortune. The green "42lb" injectors.. basically are 440cc found in most volvo s60's and 70's.. so check this.. online, they go for about 60/70 each.. called the local parts stores.. $160!! FOR ONE.

Rock auto? $18.99. LMFAO. But again, will not ship to Ca now.. emissions  Had to send elsewhere and have shipped here.

Stuck er in.. and car ran like a top. What crap.

Wtf does injector size for an OEM part have anything to do with emissions....
Because it's changing it from stock.. in california, that's a no no.

Adj. FPR aren't even legal there, because you can "change the fuel pressure" and thus change or increase emissions.

Dude.. look it up, it's crazy.. now, if a cop "think it's too loud" they can pull you over, and it's a $1000 fine, plus you get a mandatory trip to the state smog nazi! INSANE.

That may be true, but there's no way in hell someone knows a stock fuel injector from an upgraded one.

You think inspectors know that info?
I would think so.. considering they're fining people $1000 and forcing them to do this.. they wanna make it as difficult as humanly possible for people here.. this isn't the corner shop.. it's the state smog nazi

You're giving inspectors too much credit to know every aftermarket stock replacement injector for every model of car well enough to fine or prevent people from operating cars.

He's already going to have a blower on there, I imagine they'll be heavily scrutinizing everything. Those ugly green giants have a signficantly different body than stock, so they do kind of stand out. I've heard the CA inspectors are true a-holes, personally idk how anyone does performance out there. Arguably one of the most beautiful states in the U.S. and over-run by commies, it's a shame.

Anyways let us know how the real green giants hold up to boost. My (crappy china version) died one at a time until I got sick enough of pulling the rail to just dump them all. 5 years on the Accels now without a hiccup.

California has become 30's era Germany when it comes to cars.. and it's a shame.. because indeed, it's beautiful.

So far the greenies have held up.. though I haven't put much boost to em yet. Trying to fine tune the thing before I blow out both HG again lol. That wasn't much fun after months of building this then popping those 3 miles into driving.. LOL. Least i'm boned up on how thing thing comes apart.. i've got the top end down to the pushrods in about 20 mins lmfao. POS.

And yes, they look much different than stock.. on top of well.. yeah.. if you go to the smog nazi, they know their :poo:. That's their job. . to commie it up and steal peoples money for the state of Ca, which needs it to take care of illegals and such.. least the train to nowhere got abandoned. But that's 7b down the tubes we'll never see back. Thanks, Moonbeam.
