afs cobra r wheels

i just purchased a set 1 month ago. they are 17/9 in the rear and 17/8 in the front. 275/40 rear 245/45 in the front. when i mounted them on the car the front wheels stick out really far almost looks like i cant really lower it. i made sure the correct wheels were on the front too, anybody else have this problem with there afs wheels
