Hello everyone,
I have 2002 GT convertible
I recently swapped out the original motor with another 4.6 motor that's has 105,000 km on. I installed a new Mcloud street clutch and resurfaced the stock flywheel, new pilot and release bearing.
The problem I'm having is that the car hops, vibrates and you can here something is wrong with the driveline. This only happens in first gear and goes away as I accelerate. And the car gets going when the clutch pedal is almost all the way up?
I'm thinking the problem is the driveshaft. I didn't mark it because I saw a master spline on the driveshaft side and just assumed it's gonna only go one way. But when it came time to install it, I couldn't find the spline on the transmission side. But it just went it and I mounted the 4 bolts on the rear end.
So did the driveshaft had to be marked ?
I understand that the new clutch needs to break in but that is not the normal clutch chatter, I'm afraid to drive it. The new clutch doesn't even have like 5 km on it.
Thanks in advance to all.
