Fail salvage inspection for windshield

Hi I recently finish my first diy rebuild for a 2004 mustang i bought for $400. The windshield has a crack that is originally smaller than a dorito then it webs out but its all the way on the passenger side do you think the salvage inspection place will fail me for it i would rather not spend $300 on a replacement. The car is for personal use i don't plan on reselling it.

I see your from Mississippi. I am not sure if youd fail there but youd for sure fail here in RI or MA.

Depends on state, but here in MA, that would fail basic annual inspection.

You can look up the law for Mississippi with a quick Google...my read on it is that if your crack(s) are a "web" as you described you'll be told to replace it. Recommend you get the coin together for a replacement before inspection day.

You can also probably find an un broken windshield from a pick and pull for cheap money and install yourself
