Gained 25rwhp and 3rwtq at peak from cam swap

Dropped some xe262ah's into my GT this weekend, no tune or upgraded springs, dynod at 283/289, here are the comparison graphs:

I was very happy with the results, especially because i jumped on them for only $200 bucks, and installed them myself.

Car pulls much harder, and sounds bitchen. :headbang:

Full mods consist of only bolt-ons...

comp cams, c&l plenum, accufab 75mm tb, steeda pullies, k&n cai, flomaster catback, o/r h-pipe

I wanna see how it will do with LT's and some ported heads

yeah ive had a MD tune on it since 2003 for 91, hasnt been touched since... it needs to be re-tuned, running in the low 13's a/f.

yeah, thats common when putting cams in, at least these ones. Same thing happened when they put them in a car in MM&FF... but belive me the gains up top are huge and when your bangin gears your always in the powerband.

a dyno tune could shift the power back down tho i think.

Yea, 257 at peak untuned bolton is definatly more than my car made when bolton. But then again, all dynos are different so I guess you just cant tell.

I had electric WP, Plenum, K&N filter, Dr Gas X, Magnaflow catback, SCT chip= 248RWHP. Mine has always dynoed low for whatever reason though.

Yes that would be Comp 262ah...not a very aggressive lope because its not a very aggressive cam...its a street cam.

Im thinking thatll be fixed with a tune. Same thing happens with an o/r x-pipe...you lose it down low but gain alot more up top

yea i expect your car to break that 300rwhp mark if that is were you are at before l/t. yoe you might lose some peak after a tune but you might pick some down low. it is kind of a trade off.
