How do I fix these holes? They are 3x6 and located immediately behind the front tires. I tried pulling back the carpet in the cab and that didnt work. I have an 89 GT vert so I have braces that keep me from fixing these easily. I cant weld sheet metal there. Is there a high temp filler i can use after I scrape it clean?

Dont the braces bolt right off? You already know that the best way and the right way to do it is cut the bad stuff out and weld. Someone on here just had some welding done to his floor in a fox vert, so its not impossible. Can you pull the interior out and weld it there?

As long as it's not a structural issue, use epoxy steel putty.

Get the non-rusted as clean as possible. If you can safely put in small sheet metal screws, then do that. That will also give the putty something to hold onto.

When done properly, it'll be stronger than orig.

I'd do like Joe said, by patching in a section with some sort of body adhesive and screws, if able. The key is to get rid of the rust though, or you'll be repeating this process down the road, on a larger scale.
