King Cobra Build in Oregon

Unfortunately, I don't really have good answers for either of your questions. I'm fairly certain that the buck tag is the only way you can truly confirm that it's a King though. Another way that might not be as definitive is to see if it still has the brake cooling ducts behind the front spoiler. If they're there, it either means that it's a King OR someone faithfully recreated one.

As for the targa band, I have absolutely no idea - I guess it's worth what you're willing to spend?

Seller asking to much so he is moving on. Meanwhile. I have been looking for an oil pan, like everyone else. So on ebay there are pans that say they are for the ii but will not fit. You can see a ridge between the front and back. Item number 295090984107. Has anyone tried to modify something like this? did it work? I would be willing to buy several and have them modified if they work. Then offer to the Mustang ii owners. Just a thought. There is a Mustang ii around the corner. Been sitting in driveway for over 10 years. Will not sell because "I'm going to restore it"...............okay. Offered $2,00 10 years ago. Now offering $500. $750 if the engine starts and he can drive it around the block to me.

Well I have been stripping my 75 Ghia coupe. pulled engine and transmission. These are going to a buddy in Washington. Will be cutting the front inner aprons to repair my 78 T-TOP. Have decided to dye the seats black and see how they look. Sure are comfortable. While putting interior parts I noticed the carpets are not damaged and there are no faded areas. So will pull and install in the t-top. got the gas tank out and while looking around found the rear air shocks are pretty new. Testing them to see if the hold air for a couple of days. Have lots of parts left. Looking for cheap parts for coupe? Please let me know. I will check to see what I have. Will only ask shipping. Glass, not windsheild, in good shape. Keeping windshield just in case.....

Well as I am not getting the Mustang I spoke about that has been sitting for 10 years, I talk with my wife regarding the T-Top. She agrees that after the King is done, I should upgrade the T-Top and make it a Monroe Handler. I had two but because of money requirements for my LED company I had to sell them. ONe when to Canada and the other to a custom place in Bend Oregon. Really did not want to sell them, but did not have a choice at the time. Now that I sold my company and have all the time in the world (after getting house work my wife says I need to do since she is still working) I will make one for us. As my wife ordered a 2024 Mustang GT she says i can do a Handler as long as I get the King done before starting on it. Getting my home made Mustang II rotisserie back. I will be able to do work faster then I have been doing work on the King. Body is stripped. Front radiator support is damage so I will be replacing the inner damaged aprons then having the body sand blasted then priming with a sealer. Just need to save some funds between now and January to buy the body kit. Wife said no whining for money.......GEEZE Will be needing engine advise on this one. Have a machine shop nearby who is a Ford guy. Likes Mustang II so willing to help and give advise also. OH Got the gas tank off my parts car. Found it nice and clean as it had about a quarter of a tank of gas which I used to kill some nasty weeds in area around my parking area. Found that the Monroe air shocks are pretty new, Holding air for about a week.

Has anyone done a Monroe Handler body kit? Is there a video or instructions showing the process? Does anyone know Tony in Canada who did a Handler and had the decals and dash plack done? Just wondering. Still striping my parts car and getting engine parts for my King. Seems I ordered the wrong, twice, roller rockers for the engine. Had to have a local machine shop order them for me.....

Doing the roller coaster thing at several places. Any oil pans for sale, please let me know. Larry

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL. Sorry for not posting lately. Been kinda busy. Found a parts car in Montana. Bought all the engine parts I needed along with a C-4. Drove from Oregon round trip in four days. Found out Love's truck stops are nice places to stop on a long trip. When buying gas a customer showed me there APP and told me if I down load it I can save 10 cents a gallon..........sure enough! used it a lot. Will be driving to Phoenix AZ this month and will use it again. There app show were the next stop is..............Wanted to rest my bum a bit at one station. They had a little casino ...........won over $100 in about 30 minutes. Sorry back to my Mustang. I have needed to stop working on my King Cobra for a while. Took my wife's 2002 T Bird to the Ford dealer because it keeps over heating. After taking it back three times told them to keep it until they find out what is wrong. Seems I have a warped head of something. Water getting into the cylinders..............said i need a long block............They said $6,000 for the block it they could find one. The T Birds used a Jaguar engine and for only a couple of years. Found a very damaged, body, 2002 that is the same color/options as my wife's. Bought it. Has only 50K miles. So this week I am pulling the engine and taking to the Ford dealer. As there are so many computers and setting I can't install. At least I don't think I have the skills. Have ton of extra parts. Has yellow and black leather seats along with almost new tires to match the new tires we just put on our T Bird............and nice rims. Plan to sell parts so if anyone has an 02/05 T BIrd needing parts let me know. Ask for the good neighbor discount.......Having the engine I just bought worked on at the local machine shop with a true Ford guy working on it. Asking Santa for some engine parts............ Larry
