That's a fantastic starting point in my eyes.
It has the stock 3:27 gears in it. I have always been a fan of them. Anything but 2:73.Nice looking fox.
Rear gears would also be a nice upgrade on a stock drivetrain.
Yeah I picked it up today and took off the ponys above the 5.0 emblems and took off the wind deflectors. Taking off the mud flaps tomorrow. Then dropping it off for shocks and springs. Luckily the lady's grandkids took off the eyelashes it had on it! oh my god!Not much to pick on, looks like a really great car to start with.
I would do things so much different 20 years later starting with a nice clean lx like this one.
First mods: lose those much flaps and vent visors (if you want to keep them, you could get chrome fender trim and go for the pepboys trifecta)
Then before you do anything else, subframe connectors.
Springs and shocks for sure! The car has a dead shock in the driverside rear. Needs a tune up also! Going to start stripping off the air box tomorrow.Nice looking new project stang and a fun road trip in it to start
Man Life is Good! The Strawberry is so yummy!
I vote Subframes, gears, and springs first over engine and exhaust mods
Picked it up in San Diego! It was in Poway. Originally it was going for $8k but I got it for $6500Where in CA did you find it, and what did you pay?
$6500. Not too pricey at all! Not a fan of the sunroof but the rest of the car was perfect!perfect as is.......how much , looks like a little pricey. Just noticed the sunroof .
One of my past stangs had the chrome fender trim on it along with the wire wheels and a bullet hole in the quarterpanel window! (yes an actual bullet hole)Not much to pick on, looks like a really great car to start with.

Blown out rear shock on the driversideNice looking car!!! Maybe it’s just the angle of pic, but that passenger rear seems to be sagging quite a bit?
Already removed!Nice car I had a 91 wild strawberry coupe and loved the color. I'd verify the air silencer is removed and rear end ratio. Sub frame connectors should also be on the today list early on
If it were me, I would work on removing the pony badges from fenders
Good luck with the car
It is but I have always heard taking it out helped. Leaving the original box and adding a K&NI agree, keep the air box. Look up inside the fender between the bumper and the front wheel to see if the silencer is there. I bet it is.
That is pretty much what I did this morning.Pull silencer, drop in k&n and call it a day.
