Motor is close to going back in! Finishing up the wire tuck and painting engine bay.
I still have quite a bit of wiring to do but everything seems to be long enough.
I'd love to hear more about those seats. Thinking of ditching my Corbeaus and getting my stockers reupholstered...I got it out. Adjusted my coil over suspension, set my camber and working on toe.
Went around the block and realized I never torqued the lug nuts! So my ride was cut short.
So quick ride. Really impressed at how well the coil overs ride. Truely does ride like a different car!

Job well done sir! They are actually late 80's VW Jetta GTI/GLI Mk 2 Recaros. I found a set for sale locally, and then rebuilt them myself.
Here's what they originally looked like. Lower foam side bolsters were trash, one seat's lower spring diaphragm was broken and a few cig burns. I imported new foam and other parts from Europe and restored them over the winter.
And how they look today mounted in the car with Recaro sliders and Planted technology seat brackets. The photo above is outdated as I was running the dark grey inserts from the above seat coverings. I just swapped to the light gray inserts this past weekend.
Very comfortable and sit nice and low.
First shake down run of the year on the new suspension. I had doubts that coil overs would make that much of a difference.
I was wrong. Holy poop it rides so much better. No noises, and interior of car is so much quieter over bumps. I wonder how much the STB helps as well.
Haven't welded in the SFCs yet but I love how the car rides now
I might drop the rear a tad more
I’m surprised you never installed the connectors Mike.

Wait until you get your subframe connectors welded in.. Car will be completely different again
