What have you heard about using the stock pinion shim and the "bolt it together and go" theory. Going from 2.73 to 3.27s.
I replaced the axle bearings (Timken) they are the one piece design bearing/seal together. The factory had bearing and seal in two pieces. The concern is that the new "all in one design" sticks out a little over a 1/8" more than the stock ones did. The are flush with the housing rather than recessed. Will there be any interfearence?
I don't know about the all in one unit cuz the seal is a one lip design rather than the factory thick 2 or three lip design.
Your thoughts?
Thanks
Mike
