RsStang new project thread "updated"

Picked it up as a shell on friday morning and i think its come pretty far in the last 3 days.

I know things are a bit dirty in the engine bay. But im focusing on getting this pig running first. Car should be running and streetable by next week

85gt 86k miles 5.0, edyy intake, holley 650dp, msd pro billet dizzy and 6A ignition box, welds, a/c and smog delete, wc t-5, hurst shifter, centerforce dual friction clutch, under drives, bbk headers and h-pipe, flow master mufflers holley fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator, 3:73's. Using this engine until i can afford to get my 331 built. Pretty much everybolt on except heads and a cam.

nice man, i have mine currently torn down too.. Broken t5! Getting it rebuilt... and replacing the rear main while its out... Looking for some spray for it now! Going to the track in a couple weeks! Man wish u were still down here! So we can head to the track!

I have to keep this one my grandfather said so. He told me if he catches me driving this like i ride my motorcycle hes done with me. He also gave me the money to finish it so i guess his word goes. Im hoping to get this pig running by sunday. Im having problems with my msd system right now. Once i fix that this hoss should fire right up.

little update. Stabed the dizzy wired in my msd setup and hooked my carb and linkage up. Tried to fire and it just back fired... dizzy is 180 off switched the wires around and it wanted to fire.. If i figure a surefire way to time this easily it shall be running by sunday. I just need to score a alternator and a belt and i should be all set.

Well got her idling tonight. Car moved forward about 3 feet in gear. I need to time it better and get a better cable bracket for the throttle.... I cant believe the turn around ive had on this project so far. I had this car 1 week and it runs the other ****box i had for 3 damn years and never came close to this. Im so pumped i wish i diddnt have work at 8.. Ghey
