Shock and struts with H&R SS

+1 This is the setup I've been wanting for a while.

I've got the CC plates and springs, just gotta get the LCAs and Shocks/Struts now. :( I'm sad.

Ive had & have the Bilsteins & Mm cc plates on my 97,95, & 03 & its a strong setup....I have about 20k miles on my Bilsteins on the Mach 1 & they still feel like new. Mm cc plates are superior to all other cc plates on the market & I am curently running the LCA'a on both my 95 & 03 & they are the best....Only bad thing I can say about them is i wish I wouldve opted for the XD arms (spherical bearing on both ends) instead of the HD's (poly bushings on the chassis end) because I have blown out the poly bushing on the driver side twice already.....

i have H&R Sports (not SS) and Bilsteins. the car is my daily driver and i love this setup. i won't outcorner a Porsche or anything and the drop isn't too dramatic but it's perfect for me

the MM plates are easy enough to install (since the strut is going to be out anyway) and pretty much mandatory on anything lower than 1.2

MM (or other) LCA's if you have the money. when you do the rear springs changing the LCA's is just 2 more bolts to remove

Thanks for this bit of info. When I get back into the modding scene, I will remember this. Aren't they only like $100 more?

people will say you dont NEED them for the drop, but then again most of those people telling you that are not alignment specialists. YES, get the plates!
For proper alignment correction, they are required. If anyone here has ever properly aligned their 1.5" drop (or more) without C/C plates, let me know.

Sweet, I've always dreaded the suspension install. That lightens me up a little bit. You make it sound so easy :p

For me and two other buddies, it took all of 3.5 hours to do shocks/struts/CC plates and springs in my car...

The install isn't hard just frustrating with only one person and I recommend Mechanix gloves cuz busted knuckles suck.

instead of CC plates i would get some MM control arm....you will get more improvement in handling with the LCAs

He has the SS already, therefore he NEEDS CC plates. At this point, not buying them isn't an option unless he gets free rubber every 6 months lol.

I've had the Bullitt kit (w/o sway bar) and have the Bils/H&R SS now. There is no comparison other than one dealing with price.

But, MM LCA's are another great upgrade to consider.
