T5 ID.... NWC or NWO 1352-169 ??

I'm finding conflicting info on this tranny. It resides in my 89 5.0.

One site says all NWC trannys have a 2.95 1st gear. The chart says my 169 has a 3.35 1st gear.

I also see where NWCs use 70w gear oil where as WC trannys use regular ATF.

My 169 has 70w in it right now. I'm concerned that it "may" be a WC and require ATF.

Can someone set me straight here ??

From a repair manual I found on another site the following are said to be ford T-5 WC tranny numbers:

1352-169 is a mid '86-mid '89 V8 Mustang T-5.

All '85-'95 V8 Mustang T-5s are "World Class".

Is my tranny supposed to have ATF or 70w gear oil in it ??

The WC T-5 requires Dexron III/Mercon, which is Ford's brand of choice of ATF.
