What are the options and prices?
There's a few different levels depending on what you need. Astroperformance has them.

Since the TKX is rated for 600 ft-lbs, here's the equivalent gearset at $2400. Not everyone needs 600 ft-lbs of torque, but that's what the TKX is rated at so i'm trying to do an apples to apples comparison here. Keep in mind this is just the gearset. You still need a donor T-5 to use that has the remaining parts in good shape.

Doesn't include a syncro rebuild kit, so you should probably add that in as well. After all you just spent $2400 on gearing, sure as hell not going to use used worn syncros are you? That's $400

You are up to $2800 plus you need to put it together yourself, or pay someone to do it. Astro will sell it to you for $4K. Also...everything is OUT of Stock. You need to put down a deposit, and then wait for them to do a batch.

I was debating buying one of these, but in the 485 ft-lbs rating (Only $1900 plus the $400 rebuild kit), but the price point of the TKX has me considering it once I hear some feedback. Plus the 600 ft-lbs rating gives me room to grow, so it's likely the last trans i'd ever need. I just need to price out the cost of all the other parts needed to install it, and then I can still sell my perfectly good (less than 1k miles since full rebuild with all new parts) T-5 as well to help with costs.
G-force is another manufactrer with a gearset rated at 500 and 600 ft-lbs for the T-5. Tough to get pricing from their website though. Need to call and get a quote
I was looking really hard at a beefed up T5, but not i'm looking at the TKX as an alternative. Just waiting for feedback on fit in the Fox, and how well it shifts.
