My buddie is going to get his Father-in-law's 89 GT for Christmas. He already bought a shifter and gears for it. I thought I would get him a set of underdrive pullies for Christmas. I am not up too speed on all the 5.0 parts and was wondering which pullies to stay away from. As I understand some kits come with either 2 or 3 pullies. Any pro's or cons to either type? What about the belt? I have read that some kits require a different serpentine belt? I did a search but did not find what I was looking for. As I am running out of time, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

only ge them if its a 5 spd...dont ask what to stay away from ask what to get...99% of people on here will say either March or ASP and occasionally FRPP

Why would you only want underdrives if it is a five-speed?? :O

Uh, they're not all the same. You can get aluminum ones, steel ones, painted, powder coated, annodized, all-underdrive, main pulley/water pump underdrive with alternator overdrive, the list probably goes on. But get him some red ones - it's Christmas for cryin' out loud.
