Well I'm basically going to be doing a complete overhaul to my car. Engine is coming out along with tranny to both be rebuilt, both need it, finish up my engine bay project I started about a year ago, new paint, suspension, hood, wing, sideskirts, and a few other misc. stuff. I started pulling the engine today, and I'll finish it tomorrow, and I started working on the hood thats going to be going on the car. So far the only thing I have done is fiberglassed over the side vents. My dad told me a trick to use masking tape over the hole instead of cutting a piece of metal. The tape was A LOT easier than cutting the metal to fit, and so far it seemed to work out great! I'm going to put a few more layers of glass on over each side, then start work on the underside of the hood which will take quite a bit longer.

For my suspension I'm going to be going with AJE k-member and a-arms, but not sure what I want to do for coilovers yet.

Decided it'd be cheaper to keep it and make it run like new again. Cant afford a $400 a month car payment along with $200 a week for insurance while going to college and work full time. :notnice:

Just be glad you're not the one having to pay it. It was $180 when I first got my car when I was 17, and has gone up to $200 now. I have 3 points on my license because the beachpartol lady was PMSing that day, but it's still really high.

Mike (oink) had made the vents in the front side of the hood. He cut it out and fiberglassed it that way. You can buy one, but be looking to spend around $500 for the heat extractor hood.
