Hi I'm new here a friend told me about StangNet, my name is fidel and live in So.Cal I own two Mustangs a 98 Cobra and the seconed one is a 66 Fastback that I'm restoring from the ground up the car is all put together but still need a motor, trans and interior.

I come here with a small problem I am doing a trans swap from auto to manual with a cable to firewall set up the problem i have is will I need to
keep the spring that connects to the clutch pedal and the pedal support or
is the spring no longer needed since it's not a stock linkedge set up.

What type of pressure plate do you have? If you using a diaphram/cable setup you do not need the spring for the clutch pedal.

welcome to stangnet
it's a World Class T-5 off of a 93 Mustang.

Thanks verry much you just saved my ass from tearing everything appart
again to put the spring in.

I'll post pictures of the car on my next post.

here are some pictures of the car.

nothing yet still working on that.
Well, make sure and do justice to the beautiful $10K paint when you do :D

My car's exterior looks a lot like your interior, I've been working on nothing but the mechanicals.

Well, when you get ready, look me up. I am in Santa Ana, not far from you at all. I will be pulling my 302 out in a month or so, to install my 427 Stroker. The 302 was FULLY rebuilt less than 2500 miles ago. (which was 2 years ago.....it's been a long restoration.........) All receipts and documentation, Edelbrock heads, intake, carb, etc. Nice cam, Roller Rockers, Valve Covers, etc. Best part is you could drive it, hear it, etc, before I pull it. AND it will be going out for a tune on the dyno shortly so that I can get it running "just right" in prep for a track day coming up. I will be selling it complete. Distributor, JBA headers, etc. I will probably be looking for about $2000. Less than half of what I have into it. Let me know if you are interested........
