I have a 94 Mustang GT with a 5 speed. I believe it is lowered by the PO, but not 100% sure. There is a rubbing/grinding sound only when I accelerate, or if I hit a bump just right. So I raised the car up to see what's going on and noticed that it's hitting where the cable connecting the parking brake to the equalizer T that goes to the rear axle.
My question is, can I bend the bracket away from the driveshaft without breaking it, or is there a diffrent bracket that I need to get. I tryed to bend it once, but couldn't get at it verywell because the driveshaft was in the way, and I didnt hav time to take it off.
Thanks in advance for ya'll's help

You can grind & bend the bracket to get the parking cable out of the way. Not sure as to the exact amount to bend/cut, 'cause I had a shop do it for me a LONG time ago. I'm sure someone on here can give you more details.
