Who can port an intake?

Any particular reason you want to port a cobra intake when there is plenty of better intakes out there?
If you have a real cobra and that's why you are porting it, i'd have it extrude honed, especially if doing the upper is important to you.

Regardless of how it's done, likely you are going to need to do mail order.

With those heads NA, do the upper too.

But extrude honing is going to cost you.

I know you may like the intake, but if you were to use an RPM II, you will make the best power.

Is it worth to port both the upper and lower Cobra intakes, or just do the lower (no power adders, AFR165 58cc heads Comp XE264 cam)?

The lower is the restriction, not the upper. Tom's work won't gain you a huge amount of peak horsepower, but gives you excellent gains through the midrange where you actually drive the car and will feel the improvement. I don't know where in WA you are, but if you're in the Seattle area, drop me a line and I'll gladly give you a spin in either of my cars that have Tmoss intakes on them and show you what's what.

I want to keep the Cobra intake, since it's original. I'm not so much concerned with power above 6,000 RPM...sounds like TMoss-ed Cobra intake is the best way for midrange street power.

just the lower is all that is really necessary for the AFR 165s and gains will be across the rpm band.

Email tmoss.. You WILL be happy.
