Would You Guys Trade Your Fox For A Sn95?

I love my 95 gt convertible. I wouldnt trade it for a fox but I think most of us wouldn't trade their cars especially after the time and money that have been invested in them.

I owned a 2001 5sp Gt, and it was a great car. Light years in technology, handling, braking and comfort over the fox platform. That being said, you can''t compare the two, It's like asking if you would trade your SN95 for a SN197. IMO the Fox Mustang is responsible for bringing back Ford and the Muscle Car era and its popularity 20 years later is a testament to how important it still is.

For a 94-98? Never, ever. The cobra fascia helps a little, but I never cared for the jelly bean styling.

New edge? They are okay, but I wouldn't trade for one. My dad has a 99 Cobra convertible. I always liked driving my Fox more.

I guess I'm kinda the oddball here. If I could have another 94-95 but have it as light as my nothcback I'd trade. Of course I'd put all the drivetrain and suspension I'm putting on my notch. I personally like the styling of the SN95 body. I love the fact that I can put a set of 315s on the back without having to modify anything, upgrading to Cobra brakes is just a matter of changing caliper brakets, calipers, and rotors, it already has 4 wheel disc brakes and 5-lug wheels and it's little more comfortable ride. It's also more aerodynamic than the fox. Don't get me wrong, I love my foxbodies though. I've own 3 of them(91 GT, 86 GT, 88 notch).

I wish there was more than a "like" option. Couldn't agree more

I understand what you're saying and agree with what you can do with the platform (ie brakes, suspension, etc). But I don't agree with the looks department. I didn't like them when they changed in '94 and I don't like them now. The design did nothing for me. IMO it was boreing and ugly. By 01 they started looking better but again I didn't have a desire to own one. I actually bought a 00 CAMARO SS back then instead(blasphemy I know)

I never cared too much for the look of the 94-98s either, look like an Oldsmobile Alero.

Remember guys, that was during a time when the powers to be at Fthe ord were thinking about a front wheel drive Mustang along the lines of a Taurus or Probe. There was such an uproar Ford rethought their "better idea". There were three prototypes ranging from mild to wild, and of course Ford opted out for the middle of the road. IMO it was an abortion for the first few years, as they didn't install mod motors until 96. Sticking the same pushrod V8 in a heavier car and then the early 2V motors made the cars boat anchors on wheels. Plus the styling of the 94-98 is as ugly now as they were then.

The SN95 is based off of the fox platform, just longer and wider.

I've seen some really nice SN95 cars I would trade in a heart beat. Stock for stock well I bought a fox for a reason.

Besides 79-93 and of course 65-70 a SN95 would be be my next choice.
