Bassani X Pipe - BBK Hpipe SUCKS

I put the Bassani offroad X on one car and the BBK H on another, both fit fine and both with shorty headers. My Bassani came as the X pipe separate from the extension tubes that go to the headers, so maybe that helped with the fit.

160,000 Miles to much on a Mustang?

I have a '90 LX w/ 198k, and another '90 GT w/245k, both run great, just little stuff that you can expect from that many miles.

    Question about 331

roots blower My only experience with a roots style blower was on a 351 Sportsman block motor. My guess is you will like the thing on that motor combo, but will wish you had gone with better heads later. The stock(or close)5.0 loves the boost, but I think if you go 331 with stock upper end it...

    Sorry to say

Took a beating on the I-5 heading south back to San Diego. Door to door with a Beamer and this canary yellow CRX flew by us both like we were kids. Won't say how fast we were going, but it more than topped out a '90GT. I'm done, at least for the W coast. B

    Stroker Info / Testimonials

stroker I built a 347, it was awesome, but the 331 is a better bet for the street with fuel economy and everyday use. Plus, history has shown the 331 better for piston ring life and oil consumption. The 331 is a nice one for the street if you don't see any track duty. I have some experience...

    351 Compression Ratio Piston Choices

comp ratio Just opinion, but he's right with the 9.5 for a street motor. No use in going any more if your going to drive it on the street and don't want the problems of having to use better that pump grade gas all the time. I went that route once, 10.15:1. It was great if I ran race gas and...

    wow, snapped an axle

Hey, I never broke an axle with a stock motor, but I did with the new one. Went with Moser, good stuff.

king cobra done, centerforce in mind

stangbear, how does the SPEC clutch pedal feel compared to the KCobra? I have the FMS King Cobra on two different cars and the pedal one is fine, but the other is a real pain.

    Question about my headers...

I don't like Mac, but I have replaced the collector stud in some shorties with a bolt of same size and little bit more length. It worked fine.

ok new setup whats it going to run

I could be way off, but what does the car weigh? If stock or near it, I don't see 11's. The thing should be stout, but I don't think enough to break into the 11 sec range.

    Suspension stuff

A buddy is getting rid of his torque arm and panhard bar on his 2001GT. Will this fit on my '90 GT or LX? Hopefully, 'cause I can get it at a good deal. PS Most of my track time is road course etc.

MSD or the Performance Distributers kit??

yeah, I used the MSD thinking it was the great deal too. but it's really no improvement over stock. The numbers show no difference anyway, so go with the most cost effective one.

    Which caster camber plates?

I tried the MM one my LX and the Steeda on my GT. Both are good stuff, but that's after I went through some cheap crap from Mac and ground pounder. The Ford stuff is good too, just have to look for a good price. BP

Is everybody here using Friction Modifier??

Yep need to do that to reduce or eliminate the chatter associated with the rear-end clutch. Don't blow it off, unless your running a full spool race rearend, which I doubt if you're on the street. BP

    subframe poll

I bought some back in 1995 from a place in Cali. They were the round tube steel, and they are still on my GT, full length, really helped out a LOT. BP

    Upper/Lower Control arm choices...quick

I used the Global West arms(which are the same as Motorsport)on one of my cars, and they work great for street and track. They have sperical brgs on one end, and Del-a-lum on the other. The ones I used on my LX were poly both ends (early units that had just come out)and were great in a straight...

The Truth about FOX FRONT BRAKES!

I used Baer 14" cross-drilled rotors with some Wilwood calipers and stainless lines on the track at Hallett Motor Racing circuit in Oklahoma, and after a good week of break-in before racing, they lasted almost 2 days on the track before I notice small cracks forming at each hole in the rotor...

    ? about lincon/SVO 73mm brakes

I put the 84-86 SVO calipers and stuff on some stock rotors in a '90 GT, and had no clearance problems. What else did you do that maybe I'm missing?

    Powerslot brake rotors??

I had to try for myself, so I put the power slot rotors on my GT. With only the rotor swap, it stops a lot better. I realize it can just be the new rotor, but so far I am happy. As for warping the things, you have to break them in right, just like gears.

ok Someone help please, problems with A/C and heater fan!!??

A lot more guys know more about this than I do, but it sounds like something under the dash in the way of vacuum lines is not working or else a vacuum can is not functioning properly. Are you certain all the lines are hooked up the way they came off to begin with? I'm hoping some more knowledge...
