My dad has 5 quarts of Mobil 1 10W-30 oil lying around the house. The car that it was meant to be put in died so I want to use up his oil.
I know 10W-30 is thicker than the recommended 5W grade but since I live in California (where it's never cold), would using the slightly thicker viscosity be a problem?
I used 10W-30 in my old Toyota minivan without a problem even though it recommended 5W-30. Though I'm sure Mustang engines can possibly be different.
