I meant to post here when I did the install, but forgot. I recently put in my BC-auto 3600 stall/40k gvw trans cooler and a retune. Man this car just rips from a standstill and can spin the DR's in 1st, 2nd and a hard chirp in 3rd. It pulls from a dig like I added a 100 shot or something and it will just murder my old 02 gt/auto with numerous bolt on's. Darrin at BC auto hooked me up and this converter is the best mod. Stainless works LT's going in soon as well and will be ready to rip some 12.5's or so if/when the track opens.:nice:

What size stall did you go with? Is it 10" or 9.5"? I'm looking for one for my 04 gt and I'm wanting one that I can run in a dd. but I'm not sure if a 9.5" will stay cool in a dd. Can you give me the website for bc auto? thanks.

9.5" converter. Just remeber to get a good trans cooler. Call Darrin/bc-automotive.com #(317)514-0816. He is a auto trans specialist and can guide you in the right direction.

Im gonna put a bc-auto valvebody in it soon which is basically j-modded. The shifts are pretty hard now with the sct, but there's room for improvement. Man we need a track over here huh?. I do have stainless works LTs going in soon and hopefully ill be in the 12.3-12.5 range for sure. Its amazing to be able to spin DR's through 1st & 2nd gear like they were street tires, but doing some more suspension work to plant the rear.:)

I haven't talked to Darrin in awhile, but last I checked, he doesn't build TC's. His good friend Alan does, and Darrin sells those. That said, the TC Alan builds is a good TC.

Big T, you are in good hands with Darrin's stuff.

Your right... If I had a auto I would get the same converter he bought. Darrin and alan's stuff is very good from what I have heard. Just the fact that he has good strong upshifts after installing the converter and nothing else shows the difference in a quality converter. Many times you get mushy upshifts after going to a higher stall speed converter.

Henry at hon ford. Said the trans cooler was a PITA cause of its length and took longer to do than the stall converter. He did say it was one of the best coolers on the market and should work well. Did you replace the alt under warranty or upgraded to an aftermarket one?

trans cooler wasn't too much of a problem for me, although it doesnt come w/ all the parts u'll need. TC's are an ez install if you can drop a tranny fast, cuz they just slide right in

I have 2,XXX miles left on my extended warranty :nice:

Bad thing is, because the alternator was "going out" for a while, it ended up killing my Optima. I had to buy another one today.....$143.00 YAY :notnice:

You will be sooo happy, just hope your suspension is up to par cause I need to tweak mines a bit. Spinning DR's from 1st-2nd is fun, but not ideal for those quick e.t's.:D

Ive got a tubular K, fox body 4 cyl springs, and 90/10 struts with no sway bar up front. In the back I have cut stock rears with tokico hp shocks. Ive pulled a 1.87 on street tires so I think my suspension will be ok, maybe a little too soft in the rear if anything. Ill let you know.:nice:

I think so. Im putting in some stainless work LTs soon, but will probably do a MM k member at the same time. I just ordered that k mem a few days ago and switching out the rear upper/lwr c arms and sway bar for all BMR adjustable stuff. I ran the same set up in my old 02 gt/auto with awesome results. Good luck o you.:nice:
