the motor is gonna make 500-550 n/a. I thought a 38lbs would work, but woody told me go bigger. What should I use? Also I was gonna run a 90 mm throttle body, and maf. Does this setup sound good? thanks

putting 42s in mine as soon as I find some under $200. Sheesh you'd think they were made of gold...

The 90mm setup will work. Wouldn't go anything smaller than 80mm. There is a guy by me with 75mm MAF and T/B on his 408. HP and TQ take a nose dive @ 5900 rpm when it runs out of air.

Dude woody is a pretty known engine builder and he knows his stuff id trust what hes telling you....

+1, I'd go with whatever Woody is telling you to go with. Also, google "fuel injector calculator", there are a ton of them out there.

As far as the TB, it is actually hard to go too big for parts on a 408. I would consider nothing less than a 90 for a 408. What is the rest of the setup?

www.lightningrodder.com im sure you can find them in the classifieds

if they give you **** about being a newb and trying to buy parts just tell them derek@amazon sent you over.

hahahah ok. Do they tend to be cheaper over there since 42s are OEM on the lightnings? All the ones I see on Corral are grubby used ones with no proof of quality or miles and they still want well over $200. Every now and then you see them show up for $180 or so, but are usually snatched up instantly

Posted in the 94-95 Sticky. The 42lb injectors are good up to around 685HP Flywheel.

yup... you can find them for about 100-150 most of the times

Is this a street car? What tuner will you be using?

Either injector will work, truly a 36lb could work and be a little less hassle in a street car, less to trim out down low where you'll spend most of your time. IF you need a little up top you can increase pressure, still better then having a overly large injector to deal with.

90mmTB, and 92mm Pro-M meter get my vote.

srtthis - Whats your thoughts on the issues with large injectors in a street car, this is something I think about more often now days....tuning out large injectors can be a PIA.

hoopty, having the 75mm tb shouldnt be an issue with the 408, his big issue is the 75mm MAF.

Hey Guys. I ordered the 42's. Here is the rest of my set up. 255 pump, stock lines, professional products fuel rails, adjustable regulator, 90 mm tb, 97 mm dbx maf, power pipe. I am gonna have an sct chip burned by my local tuner. What do you guys think?
