I used to have a 96GT and at the time there were next to no aftermarket parts for it. I had the usual done to it.... gears, exhaust, CAI, MAF, subframes, shifter, pulleys. I sold the car about 4 years ago. Has the aftermarket picked up for these cars? Does anyone make heads or intake for them now?

There is a handful of companys that do aftermarket heads. And there is a few new aftermarket intakes, although they cost a a pretty penny(not great gain neither). Once you've owned/modded a mustang you always come back.:SNSign:

PI swap is common. Taking 99+ Mustang 4.6 heads and swapping them onto the 96-98's. Puts you just a little above the 260hp rating (not rear wheel) of the 99+'s due to a bump in the compression ratio.

But like four six said there are companys with ported heads now. Forced induction is the best way to wake these engines up in my opinion.
