In the process of trying to swap out my clutch quadrant and having a bitch of a time. Anyone have 'easy' ways to do this? I can see it and get at it but I cant get a grip of the pins. Is it easier to first take off the cable? Is there any kinda homemade tool for getting the cotter(sp?) pins out? Hopefully someone can help me, I am about ready to give up.:bang:

if it's the stock quadrant, try and get some needle nose pliers in there, or, a long skinny screwdriver to try and pop them out....after that you pretty much have to take a screwdriver and pry/bust the old one out.....if it's the old plastic one your talking about......

and yes it may be easier to take the cable off first so you can swing the pedal up and down for easier access

Yeah, those hitch pins are really in there. I had a divot in my finger from popping them over the stops.

Roland - I agree that the article is a nice resource. Jeremy is a real nice guy too.
