    Taken from Wikipedia :

Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation and the world's third largest automaker based on vehicle sales in 2005. Based in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, the automaker was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated in 1903. Ford now encompasses many global brands, including Lincoln and Mercury of the US, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Land Rover of the UK, and Volvo of Sweden. Ford also owns a one-third controlling interest in Mazda. Ford also recently purchased the Rover name (however its no longer in use) to keep others from using it to capitalize on Land Rover.

    Bringing back an old thread.....

Mazda and Ford share parts/bodystyles. Just look at the Ford Ranger...now look at the Mazda B-Series pickups.Notice something? They look nearly identical. And,there are also a lot of Mazda parts on Ford vehicles & vice versa.

Good thing there wasn't a Mazda "Stang".Ugh......There can only be 1 Stang.Forget Foose or that Italian built job of a ride. That's just getting ridiculous...

I'm sure 99.9% of you already know this, but the first Ford Probe was going to be the next Mustang in the 1980's. Some of the engineering test mule Probes had Mustang badges on them. It was a Mazda design through and through. How does a front wheel drive, 4-banger, Japanese engineered Mustang grab you?? The Escort from 1991 on was designed mostly by Mazda. Even now, the Mazda6 and Fusion share a lot mechanically.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Forget Foose? His spin on the Mustang is very nice. His restorations of Mustangs on Overhaulin are enough to make any die hard Mustang fan cry.

But I hear where you are coming from though. Wurd!

I think he's talking about the Foose S197 Mustangs, not the restorations on Overhaulin. I saw a Foose S197 at a show, and it really has nothing on a Roush. Hell, I think an understated GT would be cooler as a sleeper, than an attentionwhore Foose-stang.

IMO, the only thing lamer than they Foose-stangs, are the new edge Boyd Coddington Roush cars. I mean, the Roush is cool all by itself...putting Boyd Coddington's name on the side of the car with his flashy rims just ruins it for me. Besides, American Hot Rod sucks.:notnice:

    I personally love Steeda's S197 Mustang ;)

And I agree that the Foose's Stallion is fugly. Just because he's a great builder doesn't mean all of his projects are great.

The Roush thing is lame too. It would be like Ford slapping Shelby's name on a car to jack up the price. Oh, wait...
