holy **** what a day. no sleep, up at 3am, rode (passenger) all the way down, got sick upon arrival, went in & out all day, then ended up feeling like a zombie & becoming delusional about the day & time on the way home. I am fuuuuucked up =/
I don't have pictures, I rarely if ever take them myself.
Shoot was rough. We had to go to the back of the track and get them as quick as we could. Then we went to the staging lanes when my class was called and he snagged the engine bay and interior. Then he got some track pics on my next pass. Then back to the end of the track for some last minute pics. I spent the time running around and moving the car, but if/when it's in a magazine it will all be worth it.
Big thanks to James Pickett though. He did a lot to get the photos he needed!
By the way, runs went like this... Take into account this was absolutely destroying the tires well through 1st, 2nd and into 3rd. Actually on the slowest run I had the car sideways through 2nd gear.
Trac loc on the carrier I have now is shot which explains the terrible 60's and spinning in 2nd and 3rd. With that 106-107 the car hit, could have been deep 12.9s had there been any traction.
Nice pics Dave how bout the two toned vert. Glad the weather cooperated on Sunday for your shoot Brian I was hoping you would be able to do it, I'll be watching MM for your coverage.
Thanks, and besides the issues with the sun going down we got shots in and they looked good from what I saw. Not sure if/when it goes in the magazine, but I'm hoping!
Met 69clark from the boards here and he seems to be a great guy. His Pacecar looked real good over in the show too. Amazing what some of those cars were like... from amazing to absolute trash!
My friend ran his Bullitt. First time at the track for both him and the car. Ended up going 11:94 at 119 I think.(Not sure about the MPH) Great day out there.
Me and Bentley429 cruised down in my car with everyone. 9 Mustang total. Good day overall other than the 9 Mustang 70mph jump on the way there and the 2 hours of traffic I sat in on the way home. I put 400 miles on my car (now about 1200 in 2 weeks ) and I'm very happy with it on long trips. I just wish I could have raced it. The track was an awesome facility, and it was an awesome show. I have some pics from the racing side of things, and a few cool cars from the pits that I took in the couple minutes we weren't watching the racing. We never even met Dave. I didn't even realize you were there or who you were until later on at the track when I asked Brian. I'll post all of my pics as they upload! Btw, thanks for the invite guys, it was a great time.
Yeah the Orange Mach is a friend Keith we see at every new england event. Twice I have seen him blow the rear to pieces. Car is a bolt on Mach with a gear and a tire that runs low 12s high 11s!
Loving the new hood on the brothers car, too bad it ran slower yesterday!
