As some of you kno I got my car painted black a while ago. I was never told how long I had to wait until i could wash it. I sometimes hit it with the hose to get any dirt/mud/leaves off it, but it really needs to be hit with some soap and wax. How long should I wait? It was painted on the 23rd/24th, but i didnt get it back until the 26th of June. This Monday will the 5th week I have had it. Think its safe to at least wash it wit some sort of soap? it has a slight pollen/dust layer the the hose wont take off, but in an area that i washed (Tree Sap...EEK) that layer was washed off too. Dirt is EXTREMELY noticible on black lol.

wash is fine..3 months on the wax, chemicals need time to escape and wax can seal them in causing hazing.

Dman is correct, even though your paint looks and feels cured it takes up to 90 days for the solvents in it to fully escape.
