How To Troubleshoot A No Spark Issue

With a 1994 Mustang GT what is the proper way to troubleshoot a no spark issue?

If no spark leaving a given coil wire, put a test light across both electrical terminals on the coil's connector. Look for the test light to flash while cranking. If it does, the coil should be bad. If it doesn't, check injector pulsing. If missing, the PIP or TFI are likely. If present, the TFI is likely.

The egr position sensor harness cam unplugged!

That should not have kept you from having spark.
