Junkyard today, need a little help

I picked up a brand new 3g alt. and an electric fan from a Thunderbird. It was the same as the one in the mark8 but a little nicer/newer so i grab that one. I put it up against the rad and it seem like it going to fit perfectly.

I want to hook up the fan so it turns on when i crank the AC knob(AC has been deleted obviously). I was wondering which line going to the AC is the line to tap into. I was planning on just running a power and ground and then use the AC line as an accessories kinda setup. Am i being stupid, or is this an easy hook up. I want no part in the dcc contyroller, so either help me please or give me some other options.

You will need a relay to control the fan, and a temp controller.

these fan setups are hard on my head, lol i want one that turns on automatically but its hard to understand,and i dont want to forget to turn my fan on and get my motor to hot

Why are you against the dcc controller??? The most simple thing to install ever!

cuz i dont have the 130 for one or whatever it is. i can put one in later, but for now i want to be able to do it by the AC knob.

If you are willing to settle for a preset controller, the Hayden 226206 is avaialble from Advance Discount Auto Parts for less that $30. Preset to turn fan on at 185°F, off at 170°F. Patented probe installation into radiator fins.
