Hey im getting a set of thumper heads , frpp shortys and gt-40 intake...
i wanted to just leave my stock cam in because its too much work to take it out and i dont know if i wanna tackle that..any problems with that? is the stock cam a pretty good one..it will still give me performance working with the other mods right..

The stock cam isn't a bad peice at all. I ran my current setup mostly as is with the stock cam and 1.7 rr's and it ran strong. I think the stock lift is .444 with 1.6's but the durration I am not shure, I think 208 @ .050 both sides. Lift is .480 with 1.7rr's.

Your in there might as well do the cam now. Just remove pushrods and lifters, the crank pulley, harmonic balancer, and then timing cover, you don't have to remove the w/p from the timing cover. Your there.

thanks guys...helps alot...best place to get 1.7 rockers and pushrods???online?
so i buy these...and my new assembled heads..that should be all i need for the head completion correct?

165k timing chain and your gonna leave it???? Your adding H/I so your gonna be standing on it more....i personally wouldn't do that...its risky...

Just think...if the timing chains gotta go, the cams right there... :D
