manual brakes and steering

I was just wondering is there any benefit to running manual brakes and steering?

a manual rack is a bunch lighter

I wouldn't switch to Manual brakes though. Not worth the effort to save 2 pounds of weight


Manual rack though is lighter and offers better feel for road racing or autocrossing

My left leg is bigger than my right from pushing the clutch. Manual brakes might just help even it out!!!

I run manual flaming river quick ratio rack and manual brakes, but I run 550 inch big blocks in a fox. Not as bad as one would think

sbftech....how do you like the manual rack? obviously at anything over 5mph there is only good benefits over P/S, but at parking and slow speeds i hear it's a bear. is that true?

I run a skinny front tire, so I dont notice as much obviously but I would think with a regular tire and heavy fox bodies it would prolly suck azz

I've been tempted to run a manual rack for a while, but most of the autox guys i talk to say it's not worth the effort. Even though it gives you more feel, they tell me it's a pain the in neck on tight courses and especially when you run wide tires up front.
